男,1967年10月生,博士,教授,博士研究生导师,教育部长江学者特聘教授,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者,国家百千万人才工程国家级人选暨有突出贡献中青年专家,陕西省三秦学者特聘教授,国家马铃薯产业技术体系岗位科学家,现任西北农林科技大学农学院院长。

分别于1989年和1992年毕业于西北农业大学,获农学学士和硕士学位。1992-1995年在西北农业大学植物保护系和中国科学院遗传研究所植物生物技术实验室联合培养博士研究生,获理学博士学位。1996-2006年,分别在美国加州大学戴维斯分校和澳大利亚国立大学开展博士后研究工作.

自2005年开始在西北农林科技大学工作,从事卵菌生物学与作物卵菌病害成灾机理及病害防控研究,兼任中国植物病理学会理事、中国菌物学会理事、中国作物学会马铃薯专业委员会委员以及陕西省农学会理事、湖北省作物病虫监测和安全控制重点实验室学术委员;《植物病理学报》、国际学术刊物《Frontiers in Plant Science》编委;在国家自然科学基金、科技部以及农业部等项目资助下,针对马铃薯晚疫病等作物重大病害,开展作物卵菌病害的应用与基础研究,在Cell、New Phytologist、Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions、Molecular Plant Pathology、Fungal Genetics and Biology、Frontiers in Plant Science、Plant Pathology等国际学术期刊发表学术论文20余篇。
