男，教授，博士生导师。曾任西北农林科技大学农学院副院长。主要从事小麦和生物能源植物柳枝稷的基因工程研究。近年来先后主持了科技部国家转基因植物研究与产业化开发专项--抗叶片早衰转基因小麦的选育（JY03-B-23-02）、国家自然科学基金--生物能源植物柳枝稷人工穗芽转基因体系的研究（30871571）、国家转基因生物新品种培育重大专项（子项目）-调节产量因子高产转基因小麦新品种培育、国家外专局聘请外国文教专家重点项目-生物能源种质及转基因技术引进等9项研究课题，参加了多项国家和省级“攻关”﹑自然科学基金等项目。获部省级奖励2项，国家发明专利2件，参与育成小麦品种1个。以第一作者或通讯作者在《Bioenerg Res》、《Methods Mol Biol》、《中国农业科学》、《作物学报》等刊物上发表论文20余篇，出版小麦转基因研究方面的专著1部，参编著作3部。
